Unlike the traditional long board many modern hybrid surfboards are 6 to 8.5 ft in length. Hybrid boards are usually used in smaller waves and are more about having fun than high performance or tricks. They can be easier to ride for beginning surfers and generally perform well in surfing conditions where the more traditional long and short boards might not. In these turbulent times a “short-board” will provide the perfect distance for physical distancing.
With Summer fast approaching, and gathering restriction start to be lifted in many jurisdictions, it is still prudent to maintain your psychical distance from friends. Normally a picnic table is a gathering place it can now be used as way to gauge your six ft of physical distancing.
